Our dermatology clinic is at 8364 SW 8th St in Westchester. From Doral the usual route is south on NW 87th Avenue to SW 8th Street, roughly fifteen to twenty minutes outside peak hours. From Hialeah, patients come down the Palmetto and exit at SW 8th Street. From Miami Springs, LeJeune to the Dolphin and west to the Palmetto is the common path.
Because we are on a surface street and not on a hospital campus, there is no garage to circle and no shuttle. Parking is at the building. Patients who have done both usually tell us the parking is the reason they switched.
Usually yes. We hold openings for problems that should not wait: a rash that is spreading, a painful cyst, an infected cut, a nail turning color, a lesion that bleeds or will not heal. When you call, describe the problem and its timeline, and ask for the first available opening rather than a specific day.

Most skin problems get a diagnosis and a plan the same day. Acne is graded and started on treatment. Eczema and contact dermatitis are separated by pattern and history. Fungal problems of the skin and nails are confirmed before a long treatment course begins, because months of the wrong medication is the most common story we hear.
When a lesion is suspicious, the biopsy is done in the clinic rather than scheduled as a second appointment somewhere else. Minor procedures such as skin tag removal, mole removal, and keratosis removal are also done on site.
Bring your insurance card and photo ID, a list of every product and prescription you have used on the area including anything a relative recommended, and photographs of the problem at its worst. Skin conditions calm down in waiting rooms, and a photo from the bad week changes the diagnosis more often than people expect.
If another clinic treated you for this already, bring the medication names or the bottles. Knowing what failed narrows the diagnosis as effectively as knowing what helped.
